While most people think Valentine's Day is synonymous with chocolate, I believe there are many more sweet treats to enjoy that aren't of the chocolate variety. Pies, fruit tarts, cute little cakes, there is so much one can make to show their love. These Triple Ginger Cookies happen to be one of my favorite things to share with family and friends not only on Valentine's Day, but all year round!

Zucchini Ginger Cake with Ginger Cream Cheese Frosting

Tender, moist, and packed with flavor, this Zucchini Ginger Cake is a MUST make recipe!

There's been an abundance of zucchini around my house lately. I've been getting it in my weekly produce delivery, as well as picking some up at the local grocery store. From eating it fresh to roasting it and sometimes shredding it and putting it in other dishes, my family and I have been loving it all.

About a week or so ago I decided to shred up some zucchini and make a zucchini layer cake. But this isn't just any zucchini cake. This cake has delicious, spicy ginger in it as well. Gourmet Garden has a new line of lightly dried herbs that are out of this world. They take fresh herbs and dry them just enough so that they last for 4 weeks once they've been opened. The flavor and aroma of Gourmet Garden Lightly Dried Ginger is almost exactly like fresh ginger. In fact, I like it even more and prefer using it over fresh!

Ginger Spice Cupcakes with Browned Butter Frosting

Fresh ginger and nutmeg give these decadent cupcakes the perfect amount of spice. Topped with a mouthwatering browned butter frosting, it's hard to eat just one!
Ginger Spice Cupcakes with Browned Butter Frosting | The Chef Next Door

Happy New Year! I hope you all had a wonderful holiday spent with family and friends. The last couple of weeks have been fabulous; lots of family time, movies, games, laughs, and of course, food. Oh and I can't forget football! Lots and lots of football has been watched in our house.

For our New Years Eve celebration instead of making a big meal I decided to serve several appetizers. We had a glorious spread of all of our favorites, and then I created these delicious little cupcakes for dessert. Filled with freshly grated ginger and nutmeg, the flavors were spectacular. Not overly sweet, these cupcakes melt in your mouth. And the browned butter frosting? Oh.Em.Gee. If you've never had it before, you are missing out. I've never tasted a frosting so delicious in my whole life! I'm certain I'll be spreading this on everything from now on.

White Chocolate Dipped Pumpkin Ginger Biscotti

Happy November 1st! Can you believe it's already November? I certainly can't. This year is flying by!

And you know what that means right? 27 days until Thanksgiving. And only 54 days until Christmas! Oi vey! I am totally not ready for the holidays yet.

This month our Blogger Recipe Challenge theme is, you guessed it, Holiday Recipes. 10 recipes from each of our 10 members, no repeats! This is great for you folks! You can get everything you need for your holiday meals right here on our pages.

Remember there will be a linky at the bottom of every Holiday Recipe post, and you can view other members recipes there as well.

I've decided my 10 recipes are going to go from the start of the day to the end. I'm giving a few breakfast ideas, appetizers, some sides, desserts and of course a drink. So without further adieu, here is my first recipe!

I give to you White Chocolate Dipped Pumpkin Ginger Biscotti. Very easy to make and goes perfect with your cup of coffee. (Especially good for dunking!) Whip up a batch of these biscotti a few days before you're having guests over and they will love this special treat!
