You all know how much I love my slow cooker. I rave about it all the time! I use mine year round, because I think it's perfect in the colder months for warm comfort food dishes, but it's also great during the summer so that you don't have to heat your whole kitchen up while cooking!

With all that said, you can imagine how thrilled I am to be a part of my friend Sarah Olson's Blog Tour for her brand new cookbook, "The Magical Slow Cooker: Recipes for Busy Moms." I pretty sure she wrote this book just for me! OK, I know that's not true, but she wrote this book for busy moms, and that's definitely me. Brownies with Chocolate Buttercream Frosting and a {GIVEAWAY}!

Happy Monday! To start our week off right we are going to talk about fudge brownies and the best chocolate buttercream frosting that you'll ever have. AND...I'm also having a giveaway! My very first giveaway, in fact. Of course you remember just last month I participated in the DSLR giveaway but that was with a group of bloggers. This new giveaway, it's mine. All mine. And I hope you love it!

I've talked about the lovely Joy the Baker many times on the blog. Even though I don't know her personally, I just love her. If you've ever read her blog or listened to her Homefries Podcast then you know exactly what I mean. She is full of awesomeness. And so is her cookbook.

You see Joy is an amazing baker, and you know I love to bake. I love to bake even more than I love to cook. So when I got her cookbook last year I was in heaven. So many tasty things to cook, so little time. 

Over the weekend I made these amazing brownies with chocolate buttercream frosting and the recipe came from her cookbook. Unfortunately I can't share the recipe with you because it came from her cookbook and I don't want to spoil anything.  Don't fret too much, Joy has many brownie recipes on her site so head on over and check them out. 

Let me say though that this frosting is THE BEST frosting I've ever made. I'm serious, you won't be sorry you made it. Joy posted the recipe for her chocolate buttercream frosting awhile back which you can find here.
