Scones are one of my absolute favorite things to serve with coffee or tea. They are perfect for breakfast, brunch, and especially when you need a little afternoon pick me up. When you add espresso powder and coffee extract to the scone dough, and more coffee extract into a mouthwatering glaze to drizzle over the top, they are transformed into the most decadent treat that no one can resist! And seriously, who doesn't love to eat and drink their coffee?

If you've been reading my blog long enough then you already know how much I love coffee. I mean, I love coffee so much that I refer to myself as a coffee addict. 😂 I typically stick to one cup in the morning (occasionally two if I had a rough night), and I usually have one in the afternoon, too. I don't let the heat deter me either. It's coffee all year round over here. During the summer I like to drink iced or frozen coffee drinks to keep me cool, and I love making my own treats at home. I find they taste better, plus it costs much less to make your own.

Caramel Coffee Milkshakes

Creamy, cool, and delicious, these Caramel Coffee Milkshakes are perfect on a hot summer day!
Whether you enjoy it for dessert or just as an afternoon treat, this is one shake you don't want to miss!

Hey friends, how's your summer going so far? Not that I'm complaining, but it's been really hot and humid in Michigan lately. From what I've heard, this is going to be our hottest summer in years! It's been close to 90 degrees several days, and we don't typically get that type of weather until late July or August. Since it's been so warm I've been making lots of treats to cool us down. These Caramel Coffee Milkshakes just happen to be one of them, and is definitely one I'll be making all summer.

Rich Chocolate Cake with Coffee Frosting

This rich and decadent chocolate cake is light and fluffy thanks to the addition of coffee!
Topped with a delicious coffee frosting, you'll find yourself making this cake again and again!

It's no secret that I'm a coffee addict. Everyone knows it! But did you know that in addition to drinking my coffee, I love to cook with it, too? Coffee is rich and flavorful, and can add depth to your dishes. Whether you're making something sweet or savory, it gives your dish a whole other flavor profile.

Take this Rich Chocolate Cake with Coffee Frosting, for example. Adding a cup of strong black coffee to the cake batter gives it the deepest, richest chocolate flavor I've ever had. Not only that, but it makes the cake incredibly light and fluffy. It's honestly the most tender cake I've ever made!

Chocolate Dipped Coconut Biscotti

These coconut biscotti dipped in dark chocolate are crunchy and delicious, and are perfect for dunking in coffee or cocoa.

I participated in an Influencer Activation on behalf of Influence Central for McCafé packaged coffee. I received product samples as well as a monetary promotional incentive to thank me for my participation.

Although I don't like getting up in the morning, I'm definitely more of a morning person than a night owl. I can barely stay up past 10:30 most days! Once I get up and moving I'm good to go, and I enjoy starting the day off slowly by checking my email and having a cup of coffee. One thing is for sure, I am definitely addicted to coffee and can't live without it!

If I'm out an about in the morning I typically swing by McDonald's for a McCafé coffee. {I love the McCafé Caramel Mocha and their iced coffees!} Whatever drink I choose, it always puts me in a good mood and gets my day off to a great start.

Each year for as long back as I can remember, my mom and I have had a holiday cookie baking day. We each gather our favorite recipes, some new, some old, and spend an entire day in the kitchen together. When my boys were younger this included them as well, rolling out and decorating their beloved sugar cookies. Now that they've gotten older they don't help as much, but I still get them in the kitchen a little by bribing them with treats. Don't judge, it works!

I love making something special for my mom and I to drink and snack on as we bake away. Some years it was hot chocolate and doughnuts, others it was coffee and a homemade coffee cake, but this year I created something new. I made us Caramel Macchiatos with Double Chocolate Biscotti! The biscotti are chocolaty, crunchy, and perfect for dunking in the creamy, caramely Macchiato. YUM!

Salted Caramel Frappe

Delicious and refreshing, this salted caramel frappe is the perfect pick-me-up anytime of the day!

We've talked about my coffee addiction plenty of times. You know it and I know it, I can't go without my coffee. In the winter I drink it hot, and in the summer I love it over ice. But sometimes I like to get crazy and switch things up a bit!

I love to stop at my favorite coffee shop in the morning and pick up a good latte, but we all know how expensive that can get. Which is exactly why I created this delicious salted caramel frappe. It's super simple to make, costs a fraction of what it would be in a shop, and it's incredibly creamy and delicious. My oldest son, who recently discovered his love for coffee, (he's in college now!) said this tastes even better then what he would get in a cafe! And I love that it's better for you too.

Chocolate chunk coffee muffins...what more is there to say? Anything with both chocolate and coffee in it MUST be good. These muffins are amazing. Moist and tender, and full of flavor from espresso powder and chunks of chocolate. Even my 15 year old son likes them. I told him I think he is going to grow up and be a coffee lover just like his mom. Really, that's not a bad thing. {Side note, he is now 20 and LOVES coffee just as much as I do!}
