Happy March 1st! That feels really weird to say...because how can it be March already? I swear we were just celebrating the New Year! Well the good thing about it being March is that Spring is right around the corner. We've had a pretty mild winter here in Michigan, so I can't complain, but I'm definitely looking forward to warmer temperatures and seeing the sunshine a little more often. I don't like these dark, gray days!

Cheddar Beer Soup

This super rich and hearty soup is filled with lots of sharp cheddar cheese, milk, and of course, beer!
It's creamy and delicious and so simple to make, perfect for a fall meal.

It's soup season. Although we've had some warm days here in Michigan lately, I've been all about making soups and chili. It's one of my favorite things about fall! It's what I call comfort food season, and this is just the beginning. There's just nothing quite like watching football with a bowl of soup in hand, or coming inside from raking leaves and doing yard work to the smells of said soup on the stove. The aroma is intoxicating.

Cheddar & Sausage Frittata #BrunchWeek

A perfectly cooked frittata is much easier to make than you might think! Especially when it's baked in the oven.
Sausage, extra sharp cheddar cheese, red bell pepper and kale make this frittata perfect for any meal of the day!

Brunch week is coming to a close, and I have to admit I'm a bit sad! I've had a blast creating new recipes to share with you this week, and I hope you've enjoyed them all. The dishes I've made have been loved by my whole family, and I'm excited that I now have new things to make us on the weekends, or for special occasions.

Although I've loved every single thing I've made, I think this frittata might just be my favorite. It's baked in the oven, so it's super simple to make. The great thing about frittatas is that you can add whatever ingredients you have on hand. Turkey or ham, your favorite veggies, herbs, really the possibilities are endless. Plus, they can be eaten hot from the oven, at room temperature, or even cold. They are extremely versatile!

Cheddar Apple Quesadillas

Honeycrisp apples and mild cheddar cheese come together to create a delicious quesadilla,
perfect for a snack any time of the day!

We are a cheese loving family. My oldest son and I both love just about every cheese there is out there. Sharp cheddar, salty Parm, nutty Fontina...I don't think I've met a cheese I haven't liked!

Because we love cheese so much, I tend to cook with it a lot. Grilled cheese sandwiches are a favorite. I love to try different kinds and flavor combinations and get all fancy rather than just going the traditional route. It's so much fun to be creative!

Smoky Bacon Grilled Cheese Dippers

Kick your grilled cheese up a notch with smoky bacon cheddar cheese and fresh, juicy tomatoes. These dippers make the perfect afternoon snack for both kids and adults!

When my kids come home from school they are always hungry! Lunchtime is early at school and I feel like they never quite get enough to eat. Not like when they are at home and can have bigger meals and snack more often, like on the weekends.

I'm always looking for new snacks to give the kids. Something healthy but delicious. And quick and easy to make, too. These Smoky Bacon Grilled Cheese Dippers fit the bill! Three ingredients, a few minutes to grill, and you've got a cheesy, gooey, scrumptious snack that the whole family will love.

Creamy Broccoli Cheddar Soup

Warm, cheesy, delicious broccoli cheddar soup is comfort food at its best!

Fall has arrived here in Michigan. The days are cooler, the leaves on the trees are changing colors and falling, and it's been raining quite a bit. This is my favorite time of the year. I love everything about Fall, from the seasonal changes to watching football to Halloween, and everything in between. Fall is definitely my favorite season.

Once the cooler temps hit, I'm all about making my favorite comfort foods. Whether it's a big pot of chili or a chicken pot pie, those warm foods really hit the spot. My family loves having a traditional meal of soup and grilled cheese too, which has always been one of my childhood favorites.

Asparagus & Cheddar Quiche

Tender, fresh asparagus and sharp cheddar cheese are a tasty combination in this quick and easy quiche!

Our Blogger Recipe Challenge group was lucky enough to be sponsored by Polder's Old World Market this month! Polder's makes handmade wooden kitchenware that is absolutely beautiful. From measuring cups to spoons to spatulas, every single piece is stunning.

Each of the bloggers received an item to review. I chose the Ultimate Cooking Spoon and quickly fell in love! It's a gorgeous cherry color and is long and lean. I used it to saute my asparagus for this recipe and know I will be continue to use it for many years to come.

Pancetta & Cheddar Scones

I love bread. If you want me to be totally honest, I'm a carbaholic. Seriously. I can't live without bread and pasta. I just love the stuff.

Of course during the holidays I always bake like a manicac. Whether it's quick breads, cinnamon rolls or dinner rolls, I've gotta have some carbs with my meal.

Now typically most people have some type of dinner rolls on the table, but I decided to do something different this year. I made some killer pancetta and cheddar scones. Scones typically are a sweet treat, but they can totally be made savory as well.
